The Turkish Police carries the 85-year-old woman on back, whose elevator was broken

The Turkish police do not refrain from lending a hand to their citizens in any case.

Turkish Police helped the elder woman who asked for help from the police to go home after her treatment in the hospital.

A police officer working in Çorum province carried the 85-year-old woman on his back to her home was greatly appreciated on social media.

Hasan Başpınar took the old woman on his back and took her up to her apartment on the 5th floor.

According to the information received, Müzeyyen Kahramantekin (85) who was sick in his home in the city center, was taken to Hitit University Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. Upon her request, the police team in the hospital took the old woman, who wanted to go home after her treatment, to the apartment where she lived, with the police car.

Realizing that the elevator in the apartment was out of order, the police officer Hasan Başpınar took the old woman on his back and took her up to her apartment on the 5th floor.

The self-sacrificing behavior of the police officer was recorded by neighbouring residents on a cell phone.

Hasan Başpınar, a 30-year-old police officer working at Bahçelievler Police Station, told about the feelings he experienced while helping, and underlined that this was a civic duty. Başpınar said, "When citizens, who needs someone to care, ask for help from our hospital police. In normal circumstances a team arrives from the station and evaluates the issue. On that day, our 85-year-old woman asked for help from the hospital police. Mustafa, the police officer on duty at the hospital, transferred that information to us. Then we went to the hospital and took our citizen to her home safely.”
